Composer/Orchestrator

"Music is every word that you did not know how to say,

every emotion you did not know how to feel."

-HENRY DAVID THOREAU-

"When I hear music, I fear no danger. I am invulnerable. I see no foe. I am related to the earliest times, and to the latest."

   Composer Biography

With a sound palate ranging from powerful and moving celtic anthems to simplistic and beautiful lullabies, Jason Rohona's music is deeply evocative, covering a wide range of styles and is full of color and life.

From a young age Jason was cultivating a passion for music and the power it has over the listener. "The ability that music has to move people to empathize with each other in the deepest mire as well as on the highest peak, I think, is it's greatest asset." Jason has always been fascinated with the emotional drive and influence of music. This fascination has given him an ability to work in a wide range of genres and to borrow from them their greatest strengths to create the best and most holistic score possible.

Jason has had the privilege of working with a number of successful artists in the world of film music. These artists include three-time EMMY Award winning composer Charles Denler and two-time EMMY Award winning composer Hummie Mann (Robin Hood: Men In Tights). He also has recorded with the world renowned orchestra "The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra" in the Czech Republic.

Jason earned his Bachelor's in Music Composition at Colorado Christian University and then his MM in Film Composition from the Pacific North West Film Scoring Program at the Seattle Film Institute, and although these may not be the most recognizable names, good things never fail to come in small packages. CCU is home to a phenomenal music composition program lead by film/classical composer Charles Denler, and academically Colorado Christian University is rated in the top 2% of schools in the nation by The American Council of Trustees and Alumni. The Pacific North West Film Scoring Program was built from the ground up by Hollywood composer Hummie Mann and is rated as the #2 Master's program for film scoring in the world.

Denler, who cultivated Jason's love of music and helped hone his ability to create the stunning scores that he does today, is quoted saying that "Jason's music is energetic, complex, dark and emotive."

Today Jason lives in Seattle, Washington writing music for both film and video games.

-DIETRICH BOHNHOEFFER-

"Music... will help dissolve your perplexities and purify your character and sensibilities, and in time of care and sorrow, will keep a fountain of joy alive in you."
